How to turn a journal entry into a video

To turn a journal entry into a video, paste the entry into the box below, pick a visual style, a narrator voice and a length, and generate. Faceless writes a first person narration from your entry, adds word-timed captions and a picture for every scene, and renders a vertical video for 20 credits.

Why do journal entries make good story videos?

A journal entry already has what a personal story video needs: a first person voice, a real feeling and a moment that changed something. What it usually lacks is a hook, because diaries start with the weather and end mid thought. Pick the one moment in the entry that matters and lead with it. Faceless writes a narration from your entry, reads it with an AI voice, draws a picture for each scene and times captions to every word. Entries are private by nature, so swap the real names of friends, family or coworkers for first names you made up or for roles like "my sister". A video in the Storyboard style costs 20 credits, and plans start at $29/month on the Starter plan.

How do I turn a journal entry into a video?

1

Pick one entry with one turning point

Choose an entry where something happens: a decision, a conversation, a first or a last. One moment per video, since a week of entries will not fit in 90 seconds.

2

Remove other people's names and details

Replace real names with roles ("my roommate") or changed names, and drop addresses, workplaces and anything that identifies someone who did not agree to be in your story.

3

Paste it and keep it in the first person

Paste up to 800 characters into the box. Keep "I" in your text so the narration stays first person, and aim for about 150 words for a 60 second video.

4

Keep your own words if they matter

On the Posting step, turn on Approve each script first. Faceless drafts the script ahead of time, you can replace it with your entry word for word, and nothing is made or charged until you approve.

5

Pick a calm voice, then check and post

Choose a voice that fits the mood, review the video in the editor and download it or post it. It is set up as a series that can keep telling new entries on a schedule, or you can pause it after one.

No. Faceless reads the story with an AI narrator voice you pick from its voice list. Many story channels prefer that, since it keeps the person behind the diary anonymous while the words stay yours.
Only after you remove what identifies them. Change names, drop workplaces and locations, and leave out private details someone told you in confidence. Your story is yours to tell, but other people's privacy is not yours to give away.
Yes. Faceless sets your story up as a series, so it can keep making videos on a schedule you pick, with each new video taking a new angle. For specific entries, paste or approve each script yourself before it is made.
No. The pictures are generated illustrations of the scenes in your entry, not photos of you or anyone you know. You can change any picture in the editor before you post the video.
A video in the Storyboard style costs 20 credits. Plans start at $29/month with credits every month, and one-off credit packs start at $10 for 100 credits.
