Instagram Video Downloader

1. Copy the link. On the Reel, tap the paper plane or the three-dot menu and choose Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from the browser bar. Either gives you an instagram.com/reel/... or instagram.com/p/... address.
2. Paste and download. Paste it into the box above and click Download video. The Reel is fetched on our servers and sent back as one MP4 with the picture and sound together.
3. Find the file. It saves to Files on iPhone, Downloads on Android, or your computer's download folder. On iPhone, tap Share, then Save Video, to put it in Photos.

It works in any mobile or desktop browser. The Reel has to be public: if it opens in a logged-out browser window, it will download here. If you only need the soundtrack, Reel to MP3 gives you an MP3 instead, which is a much smaller file.

Mostly research. Creators save a Reel to step through it in an editor: where the hook lands, how long each shot runs, when the text appears. Those choices are hard to read at full speed in the feed and easy to read at quarter speed on a timeline.

The rest is keeping copies: your own Reels outside the app, or a video you were tagged in before it is deleted. Both are fine. Reposting someone else's Reel as your own is not, and it is the one use Instagram actively looks for.

If you are saving Reels to study a format you want to make yourself, the format is the part worth copying, not the file.
