What makes a fake DM believable

Instagram DMs are shorter than texts. People send a reaction, then a second thought a few seconds later, so runs of two or three messages from one side read as real while long paragraphs read as written for the camera.

The name matters more than it does on a phone. On Instagram it is usually a handle, lowercase, sometimes with a dot or an underscore. A full first and last name looks like a contact card, not a DM.
